We are currently seeking OPO, hospital, and transplant professionals to help us review, update and add to the Organ Donation Toolbox and the Transplant Resource Guide and Tools. Annual Transplant Resource Guide & Tools Review


 

The vetting process of the Organ Donation Toolbox will encompass all content of the clinical sections and will require time commitment and engagement by all volunteers. Applicants will indicate on the application to which sections they can contribute.

Time commitment:

  • two-hour conference call meeting in April 2018
  • Hours needed to review current content and research
  • A follow-up two-hour meeting will take place in May 2018

Sections to be reviewed

  • CBIGs
  • Check-lists & Forms
  • DCDD
  • Donor Management
  • Neurologic Determination of Death (Brain Death)
  • Pediatric Donation

Skills sought are:

  • OPO clinical coordinators / managers
  • OPO recovery staff
  • OPO medical directors
  • Intensivists
  • Hospital OR staff/managers engaged in the donation process
  • Hospital nurses engaged in the donation process
  • Other content experts who can add to the clinical sections

 

The vetting process will encompass a review of all tools posted to the resources site under strategy 1, 2, 3, and 4, and to review the Transplant Resource Guide and Tools and to help identify new and updated resources to be added. Applicants will indicate on the application to which strategies they can contribute.

    • Transplant administrators and other leaders
    • Surgeons/physicians
    • Transplant coordinators
    • Social Workers
