Executive DirectorKarri Hobson-Pape is a seasoned strategic executive with a strong track record of building unique brands that produce results. She is deeply committed to investments in education and professional development that transform an individual’s personal trajectory and drive broader industry innovation. Previously, Karri was Vice President of Marketing & Communications at the University of Georgia. Serving on the Cabinet and Senior Advisory Group, she was charged with sharing the flagship institution’s comprehensive story of research, instruction and service. Karri has held a variety of leadership positions throughout her career, including corporate, consulting and entrepreneurial roles. Prior to the University of Georgia, she served as Executive Director of External Affairs for Emory University, overseeing the Marketing, Communications, Corporate Relations, Development and Alumni Relations activities at the business school. In addition, for more than 10 years, she was Executive Director of the Sheth Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to serving the development of the marketing academy. Karri received her BA from Vanderbilt University and MBA from the Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. An active member of her community, she has authored two Arcadia Publishing local history books and other historic preservation publications, been active on multiple boards and served on industry roundtables.
Director of CommunicationsCorey joins The Alliance with more than ten years of experience in corporate and non-profit fields, having worked in communications for The Walt Disney Company and most recently, public relations for TransLife, the OPO serving Central Florida. He has also been an active board member of Donate Life Florida, serving as state team leader for the Driver License Outreach Taskforce. Corey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Information Sciences from The University of Alabama. In his spare time, he is an avid music and theater enthusiast, enjoys traveling, Crimson Tide Football and serving on the board for several local charities in the Orlando area.
Program ManagerDeanna is a knowledgeable and versatile professional with diverse experience in health care, client relations, marketing, and project management. Prior to joining The Alliance, she worked in sales and marketing at Davion Inc. and most recently, in hospital development for the OPO of New Jersey. Her personal connection as a donor family and friend fuels her passion to spread awareness about the importance of organ and tissue donation and encourage others to join the cause. Deanna holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor degree in Public Health from Montclair State University. In her spare time, Deanna enjoys visiting vineyards, spending time with her family, and traveling in hopes of visiting all seven wonders of the world.
Program AssistantFelicia joins The Alliance with more than 20 years of health care experience – 18 of those directly carried out in an organ transplant program. Throughout her time in transplant, she has served as a transplant financial coordinator, database administrator and transplant business office supervisor in both pediatric and adult kidney transplant, heart transplant and liver transplant programs. She has also been an active member of the Transplant Financial Coordinators Association. In her spare time, Felicia enjoys spending time with her family, fishing, coaching and serving on the board for a local youth organization in the San Antonio Area.
Program ConsultantGlenn is an accomplished donation and transplant professional and national speaker. He is a passionate donation and transplantation advocate, educator, project manager and consultant. He brings nearly 20 years of transplant and organ procurement organization experience. He has extensive hands-on experience working with multidisciplinary hospital care teams, with an emphasis on relationships, regulatory/accreditation compliance, strategic planning and core competencies. He is a 22-year heart transplant recipient who enjoys his free time gardening, traveling and contributing to his Organ and Tissue Donation Blog.
Valinda Jones, RN, MSN
Program ConsultantValinda holds more than 40 years of health care experience, including such roles as assistant hospital administrator, chief nursing officer, director of a school of nursing, administrator of a dialyisis facility and group administrator for home dialysis programs. She has served in large teaching hospitals, as well as community and critical access health care facilities, and taught in LPN, diploma, BSN and MSN schools of nursing. Prior to joining The Alliance, Valinda worked as a quality coordinator for a kidney-only transplant program, and as a 10-year kidney recipienet herself, has been an active volunteer with Gift of Life Michigan for many years. She is currently a member of both the UNOS Board of Directors and the Kidney-Pancreas Transplant Committee. Valinda enjoys spending time with family and friends, international traveling and learning about the culture, food and customs of different countries.
Program InternBea Floresca is a senior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, studying public health. Bea has been a health educator for the last four years, focusing on addressing the needs of special populations like the LGBTQ+ community and immigrants to the US. As a program intern, she assists in the creation of high-quality educational programs and coordinates the efforts of our workgroups and councils. Outside of her work with The Alliance, Bea works to create assistive technology for older adults.
Communications InternKatrina is a student at Concordia University, Saint Paul, double majoring in Business Management and Public Relations. Currently, she also works in an emergency room as a patient representative. This position increased her interest in healthcare work and led her to The Alliance. Katrina is a firm believer in continuous learning and loves to delve into the concepts of life through reading and discussions with family and friends. In her free time, she enjoys spending time in nature, developing her photography skill, and discovering different cultures through international travel.
